Makeup Geek Eyeshadows and Blush

Hey guys!!!

I'm sure most people know who is Marlena the creator of Makeup Geek, but if you don't know you need to get out from that rock your living in, get on YouTube, and watch. She came out with her own makeup brand. She only has eyeshadows, gel eyeliners, pigments, blushes, and brushes. I love that all her products are cruelty free, talc and paraben free, and they ship worldwide. You can only order Makeup Geek online and the eyeshadows can be either in pan form so you can put it in a Z-palette or in pot form. Now to show you what I have purchased so far:

When you get them in the mail they come like this. I purchased them in pan form so I can put them in a Z-palette.

Left to Right: (top row) Cosmopolitan, Creme Brulee, Mermaid, Razzleberry, Rockstar, and Shimma Shimma, (bottom row) Summer Fling, and Insomnia.
I love that the name of every shade is on the back of the pan so you can never forget what the names are. I probably would if it didn't.

The eyeshadows are AMAZING! They are so smooth, very pigmented, AND easy to blend. What else could you ask for in an eyeshadow right? As for the blush she barely released them like a month ago and after trying out the shadows I HAD to get my hands on one blush at least. The blushes are the exact same quality as eyeshadows. It is AMAZING! The pigment I got I HAD to get because it is such a gorgeous color and I have heard that it is a dupe to a MAC pigment.  Now I will be talking about every individual shade.

Blush:
  • Summer Fling- I decided to get out of my comfort zone and get this beautiful soft burnt orange blush. I make sure to use a light hand with this blush and build it up slowly if I need to because if I don't it doesn't look good having bright orange cheeks haha. If you do ever have that happen you can always grab a kabuki brush and blend it out.

Pigment:
  • Insomnia- This pigment.....OMG this pigment is beautiful. The picture swatch that I took will NOT do it justice at all. I have heard that it is a dupe to MAC's blue brown pigment I can't say for sure since I don't own it personally. It is a beautiful dark chocolate brow duochrome with blue or blueish green reflects. Only thing you have to be careful when you open it because it can get messy.
Eyeshadows:
  • Shimma Shimma- This is a very gorgeous champagne shimmery highlight color. I use it in my browbone, inner corner, and even sometimes all over my lid when I want a more toned down eye look.
  • Creme Brulee- This color is a soft matte finish so it is a great transition shade I have only used this one in my crease. I will probably use it on my lid one day.
  • Cosmopolitan- OMG once again one of my favorite shades. I don't think the swatch will do it justice. It is a rose gold with gold flecks and it is a shimmery finish. Sometimes this is all I wear on my eye.
  • Mermaid- I love my blue eyeshadows and this one is no exception. It is a metallic teal with gold flecks in it and it looks beautiful all over the lid. I am not afraid color.
  • Razzleberry- When i saw Jaclyn Hill use this shade I knew I had to have it. It is a raspberry pink with gold flecks in it. A lot of people are afraid to wear red on the lid, but I don't care. I would rock it any day and be proud haha. This color is a little hard to work with just because it is not as smooth as the rest, but I still love it. The color is still beautiful.
  • Rockstar- Another one of my favorite color since it is a really unique shade. It is a pale silver with purple and pink iridescence. I put this on my lid, creme brulee on the crease, eyeliner, and done.

Left to Right: Cosmopolitan, Creme Brulee, Mermaid, Razzleberry, Rockstar, Shimma Shimma, Summer Fling, and Insomnia.
What I LOVE most about these products is that they are really affordable. They are compared to MAC quality and they are about half the price. Pigments are $6.99, eyeshadows in a pan are $5.99, and blushes in a pan are $9.99. Have you guys tried these products out?? What do you think of them?? I honestly want to get EVERYTHING from this line haha.

Rose and Ben Beauty Brushes

Hey guys!! I haven't done a beauty post in a while and I was in the mood to do one because I am very excited to talk about these! I started follow Rose on IG roseandben  thanks to my friend and I have been loving her content. You can see the passion she has for makeup. I love that she posts on IG stories almost everyday doing a tutorial or talking about her fav products.  I have actually purchased and few of her recommendations and 99% of the products I have bought have become staples in my collection.  When she announced she was coming out with a brand  Rose and Ben Beauty  I just knew it would be brushes because she would always be using prototypes in her tutorials. I trusted her judgment in products soooo I bought most of the collection.  Aren't these brushes beautiful?? When I first got the brushes I felt the bristles and they were so soft. The quality of the bristles and even the handles feels so luxurious. I love the color of the handles too. I ...

Laura Mercier TLSP VoxBox

Hey guys!!! I received the Laura Mercier TLSP VoxBox complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes and I was really excited cause I actually already loved using this product and I got a backup for it thanks to this box. #contest #HowDoYouTLSP I actually used to use the Invisible Loose Setting Powder and I really did enjoy it, BUT I think the Loose Translucent Powder is a little bit better.  You can check my Instagram:  theladypsyche and see how my skin looks after setting my face since 100% of the time I use this product.  I use it to bake my under eyes, bake my contour, and set my entire face. My skin doesn't look cakey or dry when I use this product. It leaves my skin looking flawless and helps prevent my concealer from creasing.  I do recommend if you are dry to not bake and just use this product to set everything because it can make you look dry if you do bake. I actually have combination skin so this product works perfectly for me ...

Battle of the Eye Primers

Hey guys!! I have oily eyelids and I struggled when I was younger with my eyeshadows and eyeliner creasing. At the time I never understood why. I went into sephora a couple years ago with my best friend and asked "how can I stop that from happening?" That's when I was introduced to eye primers. My first ever eye primer was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I have been testing out 6 different eyelid primers and out of the six only two did not work for me. I decided to do this blog for the people that have that same issue as me and to show you guys what options there are out there in the make up world from drugstore to high end.   I tried the ELF Eyelid Primer, Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer, Mary Kay eye primer, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Isurance, and BareMinerals Prime Time Primer. I'm going to start off with the one that was the worst one out of all of these. It was the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer. $4.99 ...
