Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain

Hey guys!!!

Happy National Lipstick Day!! In honor of that day I am going to talk about my newest lip product obsession and even my boyfriend loves it. When your significant other loves it you know it is good! I have heard Amelia Liana talk about it so much and when she spoke about it in the Lip Product Addict Tag that is when I really really wanted it.

It is Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red. I am usually not a fan of anything matte because my lips get dried up really easily, but for some reason I still wanted to give this one a try. I tried it on when I got home and it was really pigmented! I let the product dry so I could see if there will be any transfer on my fingers. There was absolutely no transfer at all and I had a event to go to with my boyfriend so it was the perfect time to test it out.

One thing I do recommend you do before you apply this is exfoliate your lips and moisturize them as well. It lasted me the whole night and you can give your man a kiss on the lips without worrying about it transferring. If you eat a burger or something of that nature it will come off and if you start to make out with your man non stop then it will transfer and smudge haha. I did reapply to see if it would reapply nicely and it is a great product to reapply if needed.

I loved it so much that I wore 3 days in a row. I got mine at Sephora of course for $13 and if you love a long lasting lip color you should totally try this out. Have you guys tried out this product?? What did you think of it and what other shades you recommend? Is there anything in the Sephora Collection that you recommend??

Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser

Hey guys!!

I was watching Amanda Ensing's June Favorites video and she spoke about this makeup cleanser and I was really interested in trying it out. She was talking about the Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser and that it was her holy grail product, but thanks to her it is now mine.

I went into Macy's to purchase mine and it was $15 which I didn't mind paying. I mostly got this product for my foundation brush because honestly everytime I used it I would go thoroughly wash the brush that same day. I would hate to use the brush the next day with leftover foundation in the brush.

On the website it says, "Thoroughly cleanses brushes, removing makeup residue build-up. Keeps brush hairs in optimal condition. Monthly cleansing is recommended to ensure the highest level of hygiene, help brushes last longer."

I used this on all my brushes the first time I used it and I loved it. It left them smelling good, cleaned most of the makeup residue especially with my foundation brush, and left the brushes feeling soft. I still will wash my brushes every one to two weeks I can't do a monthly cleaning like the website suggests.

When I use this I spray it on the brush then I grab either a towel or a paper towel and rub the brush in it until it is clean enough. Give it a few minutes to dry and then use it or put it away. If you are a germaphobe like me then I would definitely recommend you to try this product.

Do you guys use a brush cleanser in between washing your brushes?? If so, which one is your favorite one to use??

NuMe MegaStar Flat Iron

Hey guys!!!

I was looking for a new straightener for a long time and when my previous one broke I decided it was time. After looking everywhere and doing some research I decided to go with NuMe MegaStar thanks to Casey Holmes always raving about it. I was able to use a discount on it. When I went to purchase it I saw that they offered the straightener in different colors. They have black, purple, pink, and blue so I went with my favorite color.

When I received I decided to use it on my mom's curly hair and see how good it works. I was so impressed with this straightener. It normally takes a while for me to straighten her hair maybe 45 minutes and this one cut my time in half.  A few days later I tried it on my own hair and again I was very impressed. I normally take 20-30 mins to do my hair, but with this one it takes me 15 minutes with no distractions. It heats up quickly so if you are in a rush at least you don't have to wait to long for it to heat up.

Keep in mind I have thick, poofy, and wavy hair. My hair feels so soft, smooth, and it looks shiny. My previous one didn't make my hair look like that especially towards the end I didn't even want to straighten anymore. It would damage it more rather than make it look decent. What has really impressed me about this iron is that I haven't straightened my hair in a couple of days and my hair still feels really soft. I haven't changed my hair products since I started using it so I know it is not the hair products.

Here are some of the features:

Overall I am in LOVE with this straightener! I am glad I went with this one. I normally don't love my hair at all it is so ugly to me and after using this I was actually loving my hair. I heard that is is easy to do curls with this straightener, but I am not good with doing that on myself. Maybe one day I will try it. I have heard some great things about NuMe blow dryers, curling wands, and hair products. I am interested in trying out their hair products especially.

One thing I do advise is if you have frizzy hair or you live in a humid climate you do have to use a product to prevent it from getting poofy once you go outside. Also something very important make sure you use any heat protectant before you put any heat on your hair.

Have you guys tried this straightener?? Do you love it as much as me? If not, why? What NuMe product do you recommend?? If you are interested in purchasing this or any other NuMe products click here: http://numeproducts.com/?acc=013d4071&bannerid=8&pid=5 and it will take you straight to the website.

If you are interested in the MegaStar Iron just use the code "MEGASUMMER" to get it for $89 or if you decided on anything else just use the code "NUMESUMMER50" for 50% off and free domestic shipping.

Favorite New York City Restaurants

Hey guys!!!

I thought I would do something different on my blog today. I was just on vacation to New York and I have my list of favorite restaurants that I would like to recommend. Some of these restaurants I HAVE to go back everytime I go to New York because it is that good!

If you love brisket then this is the place for you. This place has the BEST brisket I have ever tasted and I always compare any other brisket to this one. So far no brisket has been able to compare to it.

OMG these are the best burgers I have ever had. I especially love the SmokeShack burger it has bacon in it. I love me some bacon. I enjoy their cheese fries and their lemonade. Ever since I tried these burgers I compare them to every other burger place I go to. I haven't found anything better yet.

We recently discovered this restaurant last week when I was in town which I was excited for because I have been wanting to try a sushi place for a while. I got the spider rolls and OMG it was so good. I will definitely be going back there next time. This is place is a great place if you are going on a date it was a very romantic setting.

This was another restaurant we discovered and let's just say this is another one I HAVE to go back to the next time I am in town. I don't really remember the name of the meal I ordered, but it was really delicious. Only thing is that the place is small so if you end up going don't bring a big group with you.

We always go back to this place and everytime we go I try something new. The one thing I order is the Condensed Milk Toast. I also love their teas whether its a hot or cold one and if it's a cold one I always get the tapioca balls in it.

5. Bareburger:

If you are into more organic foods then this is a place for you. I have had their burgers, fries, and milkshake and nothing has disappointed me yet! My boyfriend has had their onion rings and he loves them.

If you have been to New York or even live there what are some of your favorite restaurants?? I would love to try something new next time I go.

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows and Blush

Hey guys!!!

I'm sure most people know who is Marlena the creator of Makeup Geek, but if you don't know you need to get out from that rock your living in, get on YouTube, and watch. She came out with her own makeup brand. She only has eyeshadows, gel eyeliners, pigments, blushes, and brushes. I love that all her products are cruelty free, talc and paraben free, and they ship worldwide. You can only order Makeup Geek online and the eyeshadows can be either in pan form so you can put it in a Z-palette or in pot form. Now to show you what I have purchased so far:

When you get them in the mail they come like this. I purchased them in pan form so I can put them in a Z-palette.

Left to Right: (top row) Cosmopolitan, Creme Brulee, Mermaid, Razzleberry, Rockstar, and Shimma Shimma, (bottom row) Summer Fling, and Insomnia.
I love that the name of every shade is on the back of the pan so you can never forget what the names are. I probably would if it didn't.

The eyeshadows are AMAZING! They are so smooth, very pigmented, AND easy to blend. What else could you ask for in an eyeshadow right? As for the blush she barely released them like a month ago and after trying out the shadows I HAD to get my hands on one blush at least. The blushes are the exact same quality as eyeshadows. It is AMAZING! The pigment I got I HAD to get because it is such a gorgeous color and I have heard that it is a dupe to a MAC pigment.  Now I will be talking about every individual shade.

Blush:
  • Summer Fling- I decided to get out of my comfort zone and get this beautiful soft burnt orange blush. I make sure to use a light hand with this blush and build it up slowly if I need to because if I don't it doesn't look good having bright orange cheeks haha. If you do ever have that happen you can always grab a kabuki brush and blend it out.

Pigment:
  • Insomnia- This pigment.....OMG this pigment is beautiful. The picture swatch that I took will NOT do it justice at all. I have heard that it is a dupe to MAC's blue brown pigment I can't say for sure since I don't own it personally. It is a beautiful dark chocolate brow duochrome with blue or blueish green reflects. Only thing you have to be careful when you open it because it can get messy.
Eyeshadows:
  • Shimma Shimma- This is a very gorgeous champagne shimmery highlight color. I use it in my browbone, inner corner, and even sometimes all over my lid when I want a more toned down eye look.
  • Creme Brulee- This color is a soft matte finish so it is a great transition shade I have only used this one in my crease. I will probably use it on my lid one day.
  • Cosmopolitan- OMG once again one of my favorite shades. I don't think the swatch will do it justice. It is a rose gold with gold flecks and it is a shimmery finish. Sometimes this is all I wear on my eye.
  • Mermaid- I love my blue eyeshadows and this one is no exception. It is a metallic teal with gold flecks in it and it looks beautiful all over the lid. I am not afraid color.
  • Razzleberry- When i saw Jaclyn Hill use this shade I knew I had to have it. It is a raspberry pink with gold flecks in it. A lot of people are afraid to wear red on the lid, but I don't care. I would rock it any day and be proud haha. This color is a little hard to work with just because it is not as smooth as the rest, but I still love it. The color is still beautiful.
  • Rockstar- Another one of my favorite color since it is a really unique shade. It is a pale silver with purple and pink iridescence. I put this on my lid, creme brulee on the crease, eyeliner, and done.

Left to Right: Cosmopolitan, Creme Brulee, Mermaid, Razzleberry, Rockstar, Shimma Shimma, Summer Fling, and Insomnia.
What I LOVE most about these products is that they are really affordable. They are compared to MAC quality and they are about half the price. Pigments are $6.99, eyeshadows in a pan are $5.99, and blushes in a pan are $9.99. Have you guys tried these products out?? What do you think of them?? I honestly want to get EVERYTHING from this line haha.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadows

Hey guys!!!

I am excited to talk about my favorite eyeshadows from the drugstore. If you haven't tried one you need to especially one particular shade. Can anyone guess which one??

Aren't these shades gorgeous??!! Oh my god I can't deal haha.

Left to Right: Golden Sage, Burst into Bloom, Sultry Smoke, Glistening Garnet, and Amber Rush.
I first discovered these from my friend Nikki she was reviewing them on YouTube and I was fascinated by them. After that I started seeing one particular shade all over YouTube and that was Amber Rush. I decided to go get that one first during a sale at Ulta. Ever since then I have been hooked. The shade is so beautiful that I had to get more.

They are very pigmented and very metallic shadows except Sultry Smoke it is not as metallic. These shadows are like pigments. You can apply these with either your finger or a flat eyeshadow brush. They are very easy to blend. I love to use these on mornings when I go to work and I don't have time to do a smoke eye look. Apply this to my lids, blend it out, eyeliner, and I'm done. It says they last 24 hours without a primer, but I can't say if they do because I wear a primer all the time. Now look at the swatches:

Left to Right: Golden Sage, Burst into Bloom, Sultry Smoke, Glistening Garnet, and Amber Rush
Gorgeous right? The one shade that everyone needs and will look good on them is Amber Rush. If you want to see that shade in action Jaclyn Hill did a tutorial with it here.

Have you guys tried these shadows out?? If so, which one is your favorite shade? What shade do you think I should pick up next?

Collective Haul

Hey guys!!

I have been doing a little bit of shopping the last couple of weeks and I never put up a haul because it wasn't a lot of stuff. Now I have quite a few things so I can show you guys!! I always give myself a budget everytime I get a new check so I can save up some money. So I don't buy too much stuff at once that's why it's a collective haul.

  • Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear in 100 Invinsible- I just needed a clear polish as my top coat for everytime I do my nails.
  • Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 01 Always Red- I always see Amelia Liana on YouTube talking about this product and I really wanted to try it of course.
  • The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil- Again I saw Amelia raving about this product and The Body Shop was having a 40% off sale and free shipping so I thought let's take advantage.
  • The Body Shop Vitamin E Lip Care Stick SPF 15- I am looking for my perfect lip balm and since they were having the sale I thought why not?
  • Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser- I saw Amanda Ensing on YouTube talk about this product and I loved the idea of it. I am such a germ freak and I hate that I can't wash my brushes everyday. So I decided to try this out.
  • Sephora Collection 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation- This is my first foundation purchase from Sephora. One day I got matched, got a sample, and the rest is history. You will find out more soon.
  • NYX Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand- I got two concealers. First I really wanted to get Green Concealer so I can use it on my few red spots on my face. Second concealer is in Medium and of course I wanted to try another concealer for under my eyes. Update you soon. As usual got it on sale.
  • ELF Bronzing Brush- Just thought I'd get this so I can see if I like it for contouring. We shall see.
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk- I hear about this a lot and I like to wear bright colors on my eye so if it will help them look more vibrant why not try it? There was a sale at Ulta.
  • NYX Slide On Pencil in Jet Black- I am looking for my perfect black eyeliner for my waterline and tightline. Hopefully this is a winner.
  • The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter- I have heard so many great things about their body butters from Essiebutton on YouTube so during the sale I decided to get a mini one and try it out.
  • L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Miss Manga Mascara- I hear mixed reviews about this mascara so I decided to try it out for myself in waterproof so we shall see what I think.
That is all I got. What have you guys gotten recently?? Anything you guys think that I should get?? I will be reviewing most things really soon so stay tuned.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

Hey guys!!

Finally I am reviewing this foundation. I don't know what took me so long since I have been using this foundation for a while now. I have heard great things about this foundation on YouTube so I decided to try it out as always. I got it from Target for under $10.

There are 14 shades on their website and I have 845 warm beige. This is still kinda light for me, but it is okay all I have to do is bronze up my skin. I am very impressed with this foundation because I traveled back in October I applied this around 3ish am and I didn't remove it till 10pm that night and it was still there like I just put it on. Keep in mind I have Normal to Dry skin and if I have dry patches it will enhance those patches.

It is medium to full coverage and my favorite way to apply this is using my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge. I agree with everything this foundation is claiming to do: lasting power of a primer, coverage of a concealer, and blendability of a foundation. Only downside to this foundation is that it oxidizes a little bit so I recommend you get a couple shades and see which one matches you best. Oh I almost forgot also this foundation has SPF 20 and it photographs well. I will definitely repurchase this in the future.

I am wearing the foundation here and I don't look ghostly cause of the SPF! Have you guys tried out this foundation?? What do you think of it?? What other drugstore foundation should I try??

Real Techniques Starter Kit

Hey guys!!!

When I got the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge I loved it so much that I wanted to try the brushes. I have collected quite a few brushes, but I will only talk about one set of brushes. One time Ulta was having a 40% off sale on Real Techniques so I took advantage and got the Starter Kit.

As you can see they are all eye brushes and I love using every single one of them. They are all very soft and I try to wash them on a weekly basis if I don't get too lazy. Now on to the individual brushes and what I use them for.

Accent Brush

The website says it is used for precision detailing, highlighting, and smudging. I use it to highlight my inner corner and I love it. It is small enough to put it in your inner corner and highlight it more precise.

Deluxe Crease Brush

The website says it is a soft, oversized design for effortless contouring. I love to use this brush to put a transition shade in my crease and to attempt to contour my nose. It really makes it really easy to blend the eyeshadow or the bronzer out.

Base Shadow Brush

The website says it applies a smooth, flawless foundation of color and that it does. If my elf eyeshadow brush is too dirty I will use this one and I love how it applies color to my lid.

Brow Brush

The website says that the distinctive shape easily defines eyebrows. I use a eyebrow pencil at the moment and after applying a couple strokes I then blend it out with this brush. Another use for this brush I apply eyeshadow on my lower lash line before I blend it out with a fluffy brush.

Fine Line Brush

The website says it is for precision application of cream eyeliner. I have never really use gel eyeliner until I got the Mary Kay gel eyeliner. It is still a work in progress, but this brush has made it a little easier to apply than the brush the eyeliner came with.

Overall I LOVE the Real Techniques brushes. I love them so much that I have more and honestly I want to get them all. I will talk about them later on. They are an affordable line of brushes. You can find them on their websiteKohl's, Ulta, and I hear Rite Aid is carrying them now.

Do you guys love these brushes as much as I do?? Which one is your favorite brush??

Benefit Watt's Up

Hey guys!!!

I received the Benefit Watt's up in my little birthday sample box from Sephora and I had used it a couple of times, but I had left it in my collection for a while. Untill I saw Shaaanxo use it in one of her tutorials and it looked gorgeous on her. So I took it out and now I am in love.

When I put this on my cheekbones it gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks. I don't know why I had it hiding in my collection. It is a cream to powder highlighter and sometimes I use a powder highlighter on top for a little extra glow whenever I am feeling it. It is a gorgeous champagne glow and it is really easy to blend.

The picture is a heavy swatch so you can see it better since I don't have the best camera at the moment. This sample size will last me a while, but once I am out I will be hesitant to buy a full size because it is $30 at Sephora, but I will most likely repurchase eventually cause I love it so much.

Have you guys tried this product?? What other Benefit product do you recommend?? What highlighters do you recommend?? By the way if you don't watch Shaaanxo's videos what are you doing with your life? You need to check her out she does awesome tutorials and reviews.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

Hey guys!!!

My friend Krystelle highly recommended me this eye cream and I went for it because I trust her. It took me a bit of convincing because of the price. I got it from Sephora for $30 and I just could justify spending that much money on an eye cream, but she convinced me to do it! Also I have been into looking into skin care products that have natural ingredients and Origins is a great one to try.

It is such a small pot, but a little bit goes a long way. I have had this for a couple of months and I am not even halfway done with it. I noticed that it has a little bit of shimmer in it, but honestly I don't mind it.

At first I wasn't too sure if I loved this enough to make it my HOLY GRAIL product, but after today it is really close. It definitely is moisturizing which was very important to me since I have dry skin. My concealer glides on like a dream and it is easier to blend. It says it brightens and depuffs on the front of the pot. Last night I only had 3 hours of sleep so when I woke up my eyes were so puffy, but as soon as I put this on my under eyes and it really did depuff. The little shimmer it has in it is probable to help brighten your under eye and of course it does just that. I am now in LOVE with this product.

If you are looking for something to hydrate and depuff your under eye then I recommend this one. I will be repurchasing this product as soon as I run out which won't be happening for a couple more months. Have you tried this product?? What is your holy grail eye cream?? Do you recommend anything else from this brand??

June 2014 Favorites

Hey guys!!

I can't believe its already July!! Time is going by too fast! Now on to the favorites for the month!

  • EcoTools Pure Complexion Facial Sponge- I received this from Influenster in my VowVoxBox and I love this. I believe this has helped my skin a lot. Of course slowly but surely I noticed a difference on my skin and I am happy with the results. My skin is not where I want it to be yet, but this has helped a lot. It's only $5.99 and I will def repurchase once its time to replace it.
  • Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel- This was my new edition to my skin care routine this month it is for whenever I get a new pimple. I put this on it and it does not get any bigger. It slowly goes down. It stings at first, but it is not that bad.
  • Too Faced Primed & Poreless Face Primer- I didn't think I would enjoy this primer, but I love it. It has subtle shimmer and I love that about it. To me it compares to the Benefit POREfessional, but keep in mind I have Normal to Dry Skin. My makeup looks flawless.
  • That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette- I have been grabbing this palette quite a bit this month especially for the blush and highlighter. I like to change up my blush so I enjoyed this one this month.
  • Whitening Lightning Lip Gloss in Rose Hill-  I LOOOVVVEEE this lip gloss. I have only been grabbing this lip product this month and I have been neglecting my other ones haha. It is really pigmented and long lasting. I hope to get more soon.
  • Mary Kay Bronzing Powder in Light-Medium- I have made it a mission to use up this product haha. It is not a bad product it is actually an amazing one, but I am not a fan of a shimmery bronzer. If you are you should try this one out. I only use it on my cheeks and then I use the Too Faced bronzer on the rest of the face.
  • OFRA Eyebrow Pencil- I received this in my Ipsy bag and I love it. I am going to be sad when I run out. I don't set this with an eyebrow gel only because I don't have one and it lasts all day. That is impressive. If I blend it out it doesn't look too harsh.
  • Avene Thermal Spring Water- Another Ipsy product except this one was from May. At first I was a hesitant to use this, but now I love it. It makes my skin feel refreshed. I use it with and without makeup. I will be repurchasing this for sure especially since it is for sensitive skin.
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion- I been using this all month long and I forgot how much I love this primer. My shadows lasts all day and makes them more vibrant.
  • Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap in Lavender- I love this to clean my brushes now. I will do an updated brush cleaning routine soon. Just know this cleans them faster than using the Dove soap. I still use it though. You will find out soon.
Those are all my favorites. What were you guys favorites this month???
