BH Cosmetics That's Heart Eyeshadow and Blush Palette Review

Hey guys!!!

I have always wanted to try BH cosmetics because I heard so much about them on Youtube. I started watching ThatsHeart in December and she released her own eyeshadow and blush palette with BH cosmetics.

When I saw the palette I was amazed! Look at all the gorgeous colors. Right when I first got it in the mail I swatched it immediately and I tried it out the next morning.

I was disappointed in a couple of the shadows when I swatched it. The bronzer, highlighter, and blush were amazing.

So the next day I tried out the purple color over primer and I was so disappointed with pigmentation. It was so bad that I decided to mix the pink and purple. The purple and pink color are both chalky on their own. It created a really pretty color combined. The very first color has chunky glitter and all of the colors have fallout! Just tap off the excess off of your brush and you will be okay. The darkest color is not as pigmented I would like it to be. I have to keep putting on till it's pigmented enough. The rest of the colors you can just use the a primer and it will be fine and they blend really well.

The bronzer is pigmented so you need to use a very light hand if not you will look dirty. The highlighter I love to use it on my inner corner to brighten up my eyes and on top my cheekbones. The blush is a pretty barbie pink I love it on my cheeks!!

I almost gave up on this palette, but then I thought I wonder how will it look like with a eyeshadow base? So I grabbed my Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink and tried the purple color. OMG it was gorgeous!!! I fell in love with the palette.

Can you tell which side is with primer and which one is with the color tattoo?? Isn't the purple gorgeous??

Overall I LOVE LOVE LOVE this palette as long as I use my color tattoo underneath the shadows and cheek products are beautiful.

This is limited edition so if you are interested get it as soon as you can:

Not only do I love her palette, but I also love watching her videos. You should totally check her:

February 2014 Ipsy Bag Review

Hey guys!!

It's that time again!! It's ipsy bag time!! Last month was so eehhh for me, but this month was so exciting!! Here's why:

This month's make up bag is cute and simple. It didn't stink this month thank goodness.

Let's start with the products inside the bag.
My most favorite product in this bag is the nail polish.

I was really excited about this especially since this is my first ZOYA nail polish! I got mine in the color ODETTE. I hope you see the color on my nails since this isn't my best picture. I only needed two coats and it dried kinda fast. I will be getting more ZOYA polishes in the future lol.

Next favorite product is the lipgloss.

I got POP beauty lipgloss in the shade Fuchsia Freesia. The only thing I don't like is that it has a weird scent, but thankfully it doesn't linger once you apply it to your lips. I love the color it's a very pretty pink and it covers up my natural lip color for the most part.

My next product is Dr. Lin skincare Acne Spot Corrector.

This is a good product. This helps with any breakout that I have to dry them out. The bad thing is that it also dries out my skin around the area where I apply it so you have to make sure you moisturize really well. If you don't let it sink into your skin it will not work. It came with a $3 coupon so I'm going to try something else in this line soon.

Next product is Jessie's Girl 9 Pan Eye Shadow Compact.

I was excited to try these shadows out. The only disappointment was that the first few colors are very sheer. I figured the first color would be, but the next few after that I was disappointed. Here are swatches:

I pretty much enjoyed the rest of the colors very pigmented and very blendable. They have a little bit of fallout so I have to tap off the excess off my brush. Overall I really liked the palette.
Now the final product is J. Cat beauty Eyelashes and Eyelash Glue

This was my very first time trying to put on lashes. OMG it was HARD! lol I don't think I'm a big fan of these lashes they might be too much for me. Maybe one day I will try some more natural ones. Anyone have any suggestions??

I LOVED this month's bag and I can't wait to see what March's bag will have to offer. If anyone wants to sign up it is only $10 a month and you always get 5 products and a different make up bag each month. You get deluxe samples and full size products. Here's the link if you decide to sign up:

Benefit's They're Real Mascara

Hey guys!!!

I have been hearing about his mascara all over YouTube and lots of good reviews so I been wanting to try it! My birthday month was in December and I went into Sephora to get my birthday thing that they give out. It was this mascara and Watts Up from Benefit. I was so excited that I tried it out the very next day.

I was very very disappointed once I applied it! I always curl my lashes before I put on mascara. My lashes are long and extremely stubborn. As I am applying this mascara I can see in the mirror my lashes falling back down slowly. It's a very wet formula and I believe that was the reason why my lashes fell instantly.

I decided to wait a while and let it dry up a bit and see if that would help. I tried it recently and my lashes still fell but this time after 1 minute of having the mascara on. I guess that's an improvement?  I am probably going to give it to someone.

So in conclusion this mascara was a big disappointment for me, because it is so hyped up on YouTube, I had high hopes for it. If you have stubborn lashes like me then it probably will not work for you either.

Anyone have any mascara suggestions for stubborn lashes?? I really want something that will keep the curl up.

Affordable Way to Clean Your Brushes

Hey guys!!

One thing I was never told when I first started with makeup is that you HAVE to clean your brushes because if you don't a lot of nasty bacteria can build up and can affect your skin. I would get breakouts a lot more often especially on my cheeks before I started cleaning my brushes.

I know not everyone can afford to buy any brush cleaner that will thoroughly clean your brushes. Well I am going to share with you guys an affordable way to clean your brushes using:

I learned about this on YouTube from Laura Harris and it has made such a difference. She deleted the video so I tried my best recording on my phone hopefully it will be helpful.

Here I show you with an eyeshadow brush. You first wet the bar of soap, draw 8 on the bar numerous times, put the soap under the water to clean the shadow off of it, and just repeat 2 or 3 times. After that you put the soap down and then put your hand under the running water and draw 8 on your hand numerous times under the water and out of the water 2 or 3 times. Repeat the process till the soap is clean when you draw 8.

Here's another video with my blush brush. After you finish cleaning one brush squeeze all the water you can off the brush, fix up your brush to the shape its supposed to be, and put it on top of a towel face down.

Ignore the sucky brushes on here I am working on getting better brushes slowly but surely lol.
I hope I made sense during this blog if not you can ask questions in the comments.

Rimmel London Show Off Lip Laquers

Hey guys!!!

For a very long time I didn't try out any lipstick or lipgloss because my lips are super stubborn and they get dry very easily. I found out about these Rimmel London Lip Laquers and I was really hesitant on trying these out, but I thought "forget it" and I decided to try them out once I received them.

There are 13 available shades and I only have 3 to show you guys.

I have two kind of matte colors and one shimmery color. Here are the swatches:

I have Celestial, Galaxy, and Big Bang.
One of my favorite things about these laquers is that they are very pigmented and also......hmm.... I am not sure how to explain it, but here's a picture:

You guys see the hole in there?^ That holds a good amount of
product so you don't have to keep going into the tube
to get more product.

The first shade is in Celestial. I received this thanks to Influenster.  My lips are very pigmented already and this actually covered it up. I was very surprised because in the past I tried some color similar and it wasn't covered up. I would definitely wear this going out with friends, doing errands, or on a date.

Now the next shade is in Galaxy and this one has a little bit of shimmer. I received this color thanks to Shannon aka Glamourwonderland on YouTube. If you guys don't watch her yet you totally should especially if you are into natural products or gluten free recipes. Its a very pretty plummy color. This is another shade that I will wear out to wherever I'm going.

Last shade is Big Bang!! I also received this color thanks to Influenster. I really love this shade!! It's a very pretty red and I would only use this on special occasions especially on a date! ;D This color left a stain on my lips after having it on for a couple hours.

I recommend these lip laquers!! They are very pigmented and they have a satin shine. I would like to try out more shades. You can find these online and at your local drugstores for less than $6. Hopefully you guys found this helpful.

*It was weird for me to put pictures of my lips hopefully it doesn't look too weird lol.

Aveeno ultra calming makeup removing wipes

Hey guys!!!

I received the Aveeno makeup remover wipes as a gift! Finally I was able to stop using the horrible wipes that I was using before!!

These wipes are amazing! They smell so good and everytime I take one out I have to smell it before I use it on my face. They are very moist and they remove most of my face and eye makeup. I always go with a cotton round with another makeup remover no matter which wipes I use just to make sure everything is off. I don't know if they remove waterproof mascara since I am not using one at the moment. Most IMPORTANTLY it did NOT break me out!

I looked online on walmart to see how much it was and it is around $7. I probably will purchase this myself later on down the line.

Battle of the Eye Primers

Hey guys!!

I have oily eyelids and I struggled when I was younger with my eyeshadows and eyeliner creasing. At the time I never understood why. I went into sephora a couple years ago with my best friend and asked "how can I stop that from happening?" That's when I was introduced to eye primers. My first ever eye primer was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

I have been testing out 6 different eyelid primers and out of the six only two did not work for me. I decided to do this blog for the people that have that same issue as me and to show you guys what options there are out there in the make up world from drugstore to high end.

I tried the ELF Eyelid Primer, Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer, Mary Kay eye primer, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Isurance, and BareMinerals Prime Time Primer.

I'm going to start off with the one that was the worst one out of all of these. It was the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer. $4.99

This primer felt really oily to me so that to me wasn't a good sign, but I decided to try it out anyways. After applying it on my eyes and giving it a minute for it to dry it still felt oily. Just as I thought it didn't work out for me at all. My eyeshadows creased big time and even my eyeliner had vanished. That's not a good look after a long day of work.

Next primer is the ELF Eyelid Primer. $1

This primer felt oily as well at first, but when it dries up it doesn't feel oily anymore. It did do the job on the first day of wearing it, but on the second day there was minor creasing. Then a couple days later my eyes teared up cause of my allergies and there was major creasing. I don't think my eyeshadows will survive during the summer time with this primer.

Next primer is the Mary Kay eye primer. $12

The website says its a waterproof formula and that it is suitable for contact lens wears and I thought this was perfect for me. It didn't disappoint me whatsoever. My eyeshadows lasted all day without smudging even with the Texas heat. I highly recommend this one.

Next primer is Urban Decay Primer Potion. $12

I heard about this primer from so many YouTube beauty gurus and I wanted to try it out and see what all the hype was about. I love this primer. I normally wear make up for about 12 hours and it lasted that whole day and made my eyeshadows more vibrant! Another primer I highly recommend.

Next primer is Too Face Shadow Insurance. $20

I used to own this a while ago, but I ran out so I just went to sephora and got a sample. This was my holy grail primer for a long time. My shadows were more vibrant and it survived the heat and humidity and it didn't crease at all. I definitely recommend this.

Lastly, it is the BareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer. $18

I had never heard of this primer anywhere so I was a little hesitant on trying this one. Again I got a sample of this one just because I wasn't sure if I would like this or not and I didn't want to spend any money till after I tried it. I was very impressed with it. My eyeshadows looked vibrant and it didn't crease at all. This one might be new holy grail primer. I highly recommend this.

A primer that I heard that is also amazing is the NARS primer. I can't get myself to spend the money to try it out! I hope this was helpful for you guys. On the primers that I recently tried still need to pass the humidity test during the summer. If anything changes I will make sure that I will keep you updated!

Epielle Green Tea Cleansing Tissues

Hey guys!!

I had ran out of my usual make up remover and my mom had bought some wipes from the grocery store, Fiesta, for $1. I wasn't going to go to the store till the next week so I decided to try these out.

The only good thing about these wipes is that they have a decent scent. Now lets get into what I hate about these wipes.

First, I have used other make up removal wipes before and they are very moist and its very easy to remove make up, however, these wipes are too dry for me. They are very rough on my skin no matter how gentle I try to be.

Secondly, it doesn't remove your make up very well. I have had to use about 4 wipes to remove my make up. Other wipes I used I have used I only had to use 2 wipes.

Last but not least, it actually BROKE me out!!!!! I have normal to dry skin and I don't break out too often and nothing I have ever tried on my skin has broken me out!! This gave me a new pimple everyday I used it!

I don't recommend this for people with acne proned skin because if these wipes broke me out then it will definitely break you guys out!! I prefer the Neutrogena make up remover wipes.

I guess you get what you pay for right??!
