Nails of the Week!!

Hey guys!!!

This week I decided to go with..

Breakfast at.. from Color Club. I received it in my Birchbox this month and I couldn't wait to try it out. It was my first time using this brand and I gotta say I was very impressed with the formula. You only need two coats and it dries quickly!! I would say about 5 minutes it was completely dry and I was able to go wash my hands without the polish messing up. It has been 3 days and still no chipping. If you were thinking about trying out this brand totally check it out!

First Aid Beauty Review

Hey guys!!!

Do you have sensitive skin??? If so, then this product is definitely for you.

I decided to get this set so I can see if I love it before I purchased the full sizes. This set was $28!

Now to start reviewing the products.
First lets start with the face cleanser. Full size: $20

I use it every morning and I gotta say I really enjoyed this cleanser!! The cleanser is "fragrance free, removes surface oils, make-up, dirt and grime" and I agree. It is very gentle on your skin and makes your skin feel really clean and refreshed. The only way I can explain the consistency is that it is kind of like a moisturizer. The last cleanser I was using was a nice one as well, but I started realizing toward the end of it that it really dries my skin out if I didn't moisturize enough.  This one does not dry out my skin at all. I highly recommend this.

Facial Radiance Pads Full size 60 pads $30!

I received 28 pads in this set and I really like that they are alcohol free. I use this every night before bed and my face will feel clean and refreshed. Again this was very gentle on my skin, but I didn't feel like it exfoliated my skin at all. It has "cucumber and Indian gooseberry to tone the skin, and lemon peel and licorice root to leave the skin bright and glowing." I agree with that 100%!

Ulta Repair Cream Full Size $28!

This one I was really excited for because at the time I got this I had some dry patches on my skin since the weather here was really cold. This is supposed to "hydrate dry, parched skin, relieve minor irritation, and itching due to eczema," and I heard its good for people who are going through chemo. I only use this every night so my face so it can get hydrated overnight because its kinda thick and I feel like its too heavy for daytime wear for me especially now that its getting hot and humid here. It really helped with my dry patches, but I will let you know later if you are interested if it helps with eczema.

Overall I think these are great products and I highly recommend them all!! Only thing if you have oily/combination skin or have acne this may not be the one for you. I had a few breakouts from traveling AND that time of the month and this did NOT help with getting rid of them!! They do have a line for that skin type, but the packaging is red.

Have you guys tried First Aid Beauty?? What do you guys think?? I want to try the eye cream, but I am already trying one out! Review coming soon on that!

Nails of the Week!

Hey guys!!!!

This week I wanted to go with something bright and springy so I went with...

Julep in the color Princess Grace and....

Julep in the color America.

This is my first time trying an orange color on my nails. What do you guys think?? So far every nail polish I have tried from Julep and very pigmented. I like to take my time with this and i put one thin coat and let it dry. Once that dries I do the second thin coat! I don't know why I decided to add the glitter, but I did. What do you guys think? Does it look good or should I have not done it with this color?

Julep is a monthly subscription service for $19.99 you get 2 or 3 polishes a month depending on what you prefer. The great thing about this service is that if you can't afford to pay for it one month or nothing interests you all you have to do is skip the month.

If you want to try it out click: http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/421151/ and get your first box free. Make sure you type in the code FREEBOX

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Hey guys!!!

I was out with my cousin at Marshall's and I saw this dry shampoo that my fav YouTuber Casey Holmes is always raving about and decided to get it and see what all the hype is about!

I had never tried or even heard about dry shampoos ever in my life until I started watching YouTube (of course haha). As most of you know if you want your hair to look healthy one of the things you shouldn't do is wash your hair everyday. That will extract all your natural oils from your hair and really dry it out! Now that's where the dry shampoo comes in.

Once you are on 2nd or 3rd day hair and your hair feels extra oily you spray some dry shampoo on your roots and give it a few for it to absorb the extra oils before you brush your hair. Also if you are a big fan of volume in your hair this is great for that as well.

This is a tinted dry shampoo so it will not leave a white cast in your hair. I got mine in medium and brunette and there are other colors to match your hair color. I used to wash my hair everyday or every other day, but now thanks to this I am able to go 3-4 days without washing my hair. I am in love with it, it is affordable, and I will definitely continue to repurchase it. Thanks Casey for the recommendation! Have you guys tried this product out?? What do you think of it??

Milani Eyeshadow Primer

Hey guys!!!

I had been on the lookout for a eye primer out in the drugstore and recently Milani released a eyeshadow primer. I have never tried any Milani products, but I had heard great things about the brand so I decided to try this primer.

When I first got this it was starting to get humid so it was the best time to test this out! I have oily eyelids so it is very important for any primer I use to prevent creasing. This makes most shadows a little more vibrant and it lasts all day without creasing!!

Left is without primer and right is with primer. This has quickly become my holy grail drugstore primer. Have you tried out this primer?? What are your thoughts on it?? If you want to know what other options there are out there for you click here for reviews on other primers.

*With any eye primer you MUST wait 30 secs after applying before you apply your shadow. If not it will crease.

Nails of the week!

Hey guys!!!

This week's nails is from one of my favorite brands.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Laquer in the color Pedal to the Metal 400!! When I first started my nail polish collection I started off by purchasing a couple from this brand. It is very affordable and they have lots of different colors. You only need two coats and the polish dries in 5 mins for me. I don't hear anyone talk about this brand at all and I don't know why. Even with washing my hands many many times a day this doesn't start chipping till the 3rd or 4th day and that is with just a clear polish on top and no base coat.  This is one of my favorite colors and I will be sad whenever I run out the next time I use it haha.

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Eye Repair

Hey guys!!!!

I received a couple of samples from Sephora the first time I actually bought something from there lol. One of the things I received was an eye cream from Philosophy. I had heard great things about Philosophy so I was excited to actually try something from them especially since it is VERY pricey!!

Using a little bit of this comes a long way. I used this for about 3-4 weeks and I did not see a difference on my under eyes. It was very oily consistency and I thought that would help hydrate my under eyes really well, but I was wrong. It felt okay after I put it on, but once I took a shower my under eyes would feel really dry. You would think that something that is worth $66 for a full size would work. In my opinion I don't think it is worth the money. Have you guys tried this product?? What you guys think of it??

RIMMEL LONDON ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara

Hey guys!!!!

I received this product complimentary from Influenster. I love and hate this product at the same time.

Now on to why I love the mascara. I love that it makes my lashes look even longer than they already are, thick, and give them volume. You would think with all that I would love it 100% right? No! It is a wet formula and its not waterproof. Soooo that just means my eyelashes fall back down even after I curl it a few minutes after applying. Maybe one day I will buy the waterproof version, but right now I'm really enjoying my Maybelline Mascara. I reviewed that as well here.

Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner Review

Hey guys!!!

I wanted to try a new eyeliner and I had a coupon for this eyeliner so I decided to purchase one. I got it in the color Blackberry.

As much as I love the color of the liner I do not like this liner. It is not smooth or creamy and it tugs on my eyelid. It was really difficult to work with, but the only thing that I did like was that it stayed on my eye all day and it didn't smudge. Even tho it stayed put I will not repurchase and do not recommend this liner.

Nails of the Week

Hey guys!!!

This week's nails is one of my favorite polishes.

This is the color Champagne by Nailtini. I received this in my first ipsy bag I believe and I had never heard of this brand before so I was excited to try out. It is a pretty shimmer champagne color and the formula is amazing. You only need two coats and most importantly it dries really fast. This would be good for moms who only have a few minutes to do their nails while their kids nap. I was really impressed with this product overall!

I hope to try out more colors from this brand. Anyone have any recommendations?

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner

Hey guys!!!!

This product is raved about a lot on YouTube and at first I was raving about it myself till just recently I got disappointed.

As you can tell I was really enjoying it haha. It is a very creamy, and very pigmented black liner.

During the winter time I didn't have any issues with it. It would stay put on my waterline and not smudge. Now that its spring allergies are acting up and its getting humid here it smudges all the time. If you don't have allergy issues I think you should still try this liner and see if it will work for you. That was really disappointing because I had high hopes for it.

Anyone have any recommendations on what eyeliner to buy that will not smudge even with allergies??? Do you think I should still try the nude liner??

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes

Hey guys!!!

This is a late review since I am now a huge fan of the Garnier Cleansing Oil and I already did a review on that click here if you want to read that, but before that....

I had went on a trip to Ulta and I saw these makeup remover wipes by the cash register so I thought why not try it?!

This removed all of my makeup, but if you wear waterproof mascara it will not remove that. It is very gentle on the skin and it did not break me out which is really important to me. It is also 98% natural and if that's something that is important to you then you will love these wipes. What I love is that this brand has different scents so if you are not a fan of cucumbers there is also blueberry, grapefruit, and tomato.

There's a 45 ct, 30 ct, and a 10 ct so prices vary depending on which one you get. It can be from $2.99-$8.49

theBalm Smoke Balm Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey guys!!!!

I have always been wanting to try things out from the Balm, but I can't get myself to spend too much money sometimes lol. I realized that the Balm is now sold at Kohl's and I had a $10 coupon so it was a great time to purchase something.

I came across this eyeshadow palette and I thought why not start small and see what I think. This was $12 and if you have coupons then you can get it for a great deal!

The color that caught my attention was that dark green color. I have been really into green eyeshadow lately I don't know why. The brown color is matte and the other two are shimmery. I got home and I immediately swatched:

The eyeshadows are really creamy, highly pigmented, and blend beautifully! I was really impressed. Only thing is that it has a little fallout, but as long as you tap off the excess off your brush you are good. I want to try out other things from this brand. Anyone have any suggestions??

March 2014 Ipsy Bag Review

Hey guys!!!!!

It's Ipsy Bag tiimmmeee!!!! Just like every month I was excited to receive this in the mail.
This is March 2014 bag:

Only thing is that we normally get 5 products every month, but this month we only got 4 products I have no idea why. Now on to the makeup bag:

I love the print it's really unique looking.
Enough talk on to the products. This time I'm going to start with my least favorite all the way up to my most favorite.

My least favorite is Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer.

I was really hoping to love this, buuutt I was disappointed. It is a very watery consistency and when I applied it to my face I was like "WHHAAATTT??!!! MY FACE!!!" I had shimmer all over my face, but I still wore it throughout the day and that shimmer was still on my face even after foundation. I was really uncomfortable wearing it. Maybe I will give it away to someone who will enjoy it.

Now the next product is NYX Love in Rio eyeshadow trio.

These eyeshadows on their own are not good at all. They are very chalky and very hard to work with. The swatches that you see on the picture is after applying the color several times to get the opacity that I wanted. I find these shadows work best over primer and a Maybelline color tattoo. I don't think I would purchase these on my own honestly there are other NYX products I want to try out.

Next product is BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in Get Ready.

The scent of this lipstick is awesome!! Here's my attempt on trying to explain the scent: it is a vallina sweet lipsticky scent. (I hope i got it right lol) This color is gorgeous, its moisturizing, and doesn't dry out my lips at all. I have trouble finding good lipsticks that won't dry my stubborn lips. The color is a my lips but better color and I love it.

Last product is Chella Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue.

I love wearing eyeliner so I was excited to receive this. I love blue so I definitely was going to put this on ASAP. It is really easy to apply and once it sets it doesn't move.

Overall I love this month's Ipsy Bag. I hope next month it will have the usual 5 items. Every month its different products. You get to take a survey before you sign up so they can send you products that you will enjoy. If you want to sign up its only $10 a month and here's the link: http://www.ipsy.com/r/3lha
