Jordana Cosmetics 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil

Hey guys!!!

As you guys know I love using an eye primer for my oily eyelids and then on top use an eyeshadow base. So far I love the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, ELF Smudge Pot, and Maybelline Color Tattoos. I have been wanting a matte skin tone base for any matte eye look that I do. I have seen a couple of people talking about and loving the Jordana Cosmetics 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continous Almond.

I had a lot of trouble finding this to be honest, but I did find it in New York and I had to get it ASAP! My first time using this I did apply too much and just like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil if you apply too much or don't blend it out enough it will crease. Just make sure you apply the right amount your eyeshadow lasts all day and it is crease free.

For a very affordable product, $3.99 to be exact, this was very impressive. This product is very pigmented with just one swipe as you see on the picture. It is very creamy and easy to blend. I honestly didn't think it would be such a easy product to blend I thought it would have been so difficult that I would be hurting my eyelid.

I only use this for more neutral and matte eyeshadows. I have been reaching for this product over any other base right now and I have to force myself to use something else. One thing I do need to do whenever I apply my eye cream at night is apply a nice amount on my lid because if I don't this product does tend to dry out my eyelid for some reason. Does that happen to you guys?

Overall this is another new holy grail product. I will be repurchasing this over and over again.
Have you guys tried out this product?? What do you think?? What are some of your favorite Jordana Cosmetics products??

I also have tried and loved the Jordana Liquid Eyeliner, but it isn't waterproof and my eyes get watery sometimes so it will run and ruin my eye look. If you don't have watery eyes then you should try that product out as well.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Hey guys!!!

I know I have said before that I started using a new makeup remover and now I am ready to talk about it. I have used makeup wipes and cleansing oils before, but I decided to try out a new product to remove my makeup. I have heard a lot about cleansing balms so I was thinking about trying one out for a while. I saw that Clinique has one and I decided to try that one out.  It is the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. After trying out and loving the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes, and Lips I was excited to try this out.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product since I never used a cleansing balm before. Just like the cleansing oils you use this product on dry skin,  message it into your skin, rub your eyes gently, and then rinse it all off with water. I was soooo IMPRESSED with this product. It removed ALLLLL of my makeup even my WATERPROOF MASCARA and it didn't leave any oily residue on my face like the cleansing oils do.

I have skin issues and I was getting little tiny bumps on my face and I wasn't sure why. Ever since I started using this they went away and didn't come back. Possibly the cleansing oil was causing those bumps, but sadly my skin isn't the best just yet.

I always shower right after I remove my makeup and after my first time using, while in the shower, I realize my skin felt so soft and smooth. A little bit goes a long way, but knowing me I use a little bit more than I should haha. I have been using this for about 2 months and I still have more than half of the product left.

Overall this is my new holy grail product. I will never use anything else to remove my face makeup again. For my eyes I will still try some other eye makeup removers just because I wear waterproof mascara and I want to make sure it is 100% off . The cleansing balm will remove it all, but I tend to be rough whenever I rub my eyes so much and because of that I stop rubbing my eyes before I get it all off.

Have you guys tried out this product?? What did you think of it?? What are some of you guys favorite Clinique products??

Klorane Dry Shampoo

Hey guys!!!

Time to talk about another dry shampoo. I received the Klorane Dry Shampoo in my December Birchbox 2014 and I was excited to try it out because it is tinted like my holy grail Batiste dry shampoo and I saw it has oat milk in it which I thought was interesting.

Honestly because of the oat milk I thought maybe it wouldn't work as good as the Batiste one. When I first tried it I was very impressed. Right away I was able to tell that all of my oils we vanishing as I was spraying this in my hair.

It didn't leave a white cast behind it was nicely tinted, but I still brush it out. Before I brush it out I let it sit for a few minutes in my hair while I finish my makeup in the morning. This product and the Batiste one are both at the top as my holy grail dry shampoos. I always wash my hair every 3-4 days and with this product I am able to do that without my hair feeling dirty.

Overall I love this product. I will definitely be purchasing this soon, but I am not sure where I can go get it. Do you guys know where I can go get it other than at birchbox.com? Have you guys tried this product and if so what do you think of it?? What are some of your favorite dry shampoos??

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm

Hey guys!!!

Back when me and my friend Sam did the swap she gave me the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Vivacious. I had heard so much about these and the Matte Balms so I was excited to try it out.

As you can see it is a crayon lip pencil and I do like the product for everyday use. It isn't very pigmented with one swipe, but you can always build it up to the pigmentation that you like. Honestly what I don't like about it is that it doesn't last that long on my lips. I do have to reapply every 3 hours to keep up with the pigmentation that I like, but let's be honest who has time for that?

(Left: one swipe, Right: 4 swipes)

It has a minty smell and I don't think it lingers after applying the product to your lips. You really don't need a mirror for this product if you don't have one on hand or are unable to get to one. This product for some reason dries out my lips a little bit especially since it is a balm type of product. Since this is a balm type product it does look very shiny when applied on the lips.

Overall to me this is an allright product. I honestly would not run out and repurchase once I run out of it. Have you guys tried this product?? What do you think of it??

Hey guys!!!

It is that time again to show you what I have received in my Birchbox for the month of February! I feel like Birchbox had stepped up their game I haven't gotten any foiled packets in my box these last few months. Now I love Birchbox more than Ipsy and it used to be the other way around! Now to show you what I got.

  • Gilchrist & Soames Spa Therapy Body Lotion- This is a paraben-free moisturizer that leaves skin smooth, soft, and calm. I'm excited to try this one since I can always use good body moisturizers.
  • CLEAN Skin Eau de Parfum- It has a fresh blend of lotus blossom, blue rose, honeydew, and white musk. This is the only thing I am not too fond with just because I am tired of getting perfume samples.
  • Harvey Prince Hello Shampoo- This is a sulfate-free and color-safe shampoo. I have tried one sulfate-free shampoo before and I hated it. Hopefully maybe this one will be different.
  • Harvey Prince Hello Conditioner- It is a sulfate-free formula that softens and smooths har. Again just like the shampoo I have tried a sulfate-free conditioner before and hated it. Maybe this combination will change my mind.
  • Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner- This is a felt tip liquid eyeliner pen that goes on velvety smooth. I have been loving my Kat Von D tattoo liner and I been wanting to try out the brand Eyeko for a long time. I was excited to see this in my box! Hopefully this will be able to stand my watery eyes haha.
That is all I received in my Birchbox. What did you guys receive in your birchbox this month?? January 2015 Ipsy Bag

Hey guys!!

It is time to review January's Ipsy Bag. I don't know why I am kind of getting over Ipsy and more into Birchbox. I might end up cancelling the subscription I am not sure yet...

This bag I only love 2 and gave away two to a friend.

This is a nice bag I will be using it for traveling purposes just like all my other favorites.

Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eyeshadow

I believe I got the color Treasure I gave it to my friend the other night so I am not 100% sure. All I did was swatch it and this was one swipe. It was a nicely pigmented shadow, but I have too many neutral shadows I decided to give it to my friend.

LaFresh Eco-Beauty Be Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer.

I also gave this to that same friend just because I already have a good daytime moisturizer and I didn't want to to waste in my room.

Probelle Into the Blue Nail Laquer

I saw that a lot of people didn't like the shade of this nail polish, but me on the other hand I was actually excited for this color. I don't have this blue shade in my collection. Unfortunately I hate the formula. I had to do 3-4 coats which it is too much for me since I always like doing 2 coats. Also it took FOREVER to dry. 20 minutes had passed and it still wasn't dry. I had to go do something and it messed up and that's why I don't have a picture of the polish on my nails.

Bella Pierre Shimmer Powder

I didn't think I would like this to be honest. I got the shade Exite and it is basically a white shimmer. I probably wouldn't use this on its own on my lid, but what I did use it for is as a topper. I already did my eyeshadow and if I was in the mood for a little bit more shimmer then I would apply this on the top. I love the way it turns out, but I have to use a small amount so it won't take over the shadow underneath and it lasted all day. The shimmer didn't fade at all.

Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush

I love this brush so much! It is really soft and it didn't shed when I cleaned it. This brush applies product beautifully on the lid and even blend that shade nicely.

Overall this bag was eh okay. Like I said in the beginning I am considering cancelling Ipsy soon if it doesn't get any better in the next couple of months. What did you guys get in your January bag?? Are you guys excited for February's bag??

Buxom Full-On Lip Cream

Hey guys!!!

Do you guys have a favorite YouTuber that you watch and anything they recommend you must go out and buy?? That's me with SuperAshley127 aka Ashley! I love her videos especially her tutorials and reviews!!! You guys should check her out if you haven't yet she's amazing with her work!

She would always talk about the Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian and how it was her holy grail lip gloss so during the Sephora VIB sale I decided to purchase it!

I honestly didn't get this lip for the lip plumping effect it is supposed to have, but I do love the peppermint tingly feel on my lips whenever I put it on. I don't love the color on my lips on its own. I have pigmented lips so I think my lips look weird with a nude lip gloss or lipstick.

What I love doing is applying it on top of lipsticks if I want that extra shine on my lips. The formula I love so much. It is not too sticky, feels really comfortable on the lips, and again that tingling sensation I love it. Most importantly for me it doesn't dry out my lips like a lot of glosses do to me.

Overall do I recommend this lip gloss? Yes! If you are looking for a perfect nude gloss this is it! It is now my holy grail gloss and I will definitely keep repurchasing when I am done! Thank you Ashley for this great recommendation!

Shaaanxo x Colourpop Eyeshadows

Hey guys!!

I have been trying out lots of products that I want to review and these products I am talking about today it was only a week and a half, but I am so obsessed with it that I HAD to talk about it ASAP!

I had seen Colourpop allllll over YouTube and Instagram so I had been interested in trying them out. When I was in NYC I went to my friend Krystelle's place and she has a few of the Colourpop eyeshadows. I swatched them and I was dying on how amazingly they swatched! They were so PIGMENTED! I knew that I was going to need to get some soon.

When I saw that Shaaanxo had collaborated with Colourpop I had to get the eyeshadows she created with them. I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed, but I did have a little doubt I don't know why. This foursome is $20.

I was excited when it came in the mail. I like the fact that they included a card with a quote.

I adore the packaging so much that I am going to keep it in there the whole time till I use it up if I ever do haha.

Here are the shadows that came in this foursome.

(Top: Deluxe. Middle: Xo. Bottom: Rebel and Selfie)

These eyeshadows have a very interesting consistency and texture. I had heard these feel kinda wet when you touch them, but when applied on the eyes its feels like a powder. I agree with that statement! These apply good with your finger if applied on the lid. These are highly pigmented with just one swipe.

(Left to Right: Rebel, Selfie, Xo, and Deluxe)

Rebel is a pretty matte khaki green, Selfie is a pretty matte peachy brown, Xo is a pretty pearlized champagne color, and Deluxe is a pretty pearlized warm bronze shade. Xo reminds me a lot of the Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Shimma Shimma. I honestly don't have a favorite shade I LOVE all of them and that is rare for me. (I got shade descriptions from website)

I use my fingers like I said for if I am applying on my lids, but I also use my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush to apply the color Selfie to apply on my crease. I would have thought that with the consistency of the product that it would either crease or even be difficult for me to blend. Glad to say that I was so WRONG! These shadows blend like a DREAM! One thing I LOVE is that there is no fallout with these shadows. Just remember if you buy these shadows close the lid tightly so the product won't dry out.

Overall I am now obsessed with these Colourpop eyeshadows and I highly recommend you guys to try them out. If you don't like these shades in this foursome you can always choose single eyeshadows for $5 each. They have unique shades that I don't have in my collection and I need them in my life. I will definitely try some more out hopefully soon. I am on a no buy right now unless it is things I NEED. Wish me luck guys because it is so hard!

Have you guys tried Colourpop shadows?? What are some of your favorite shades??

February 2015 Empties

Hey guys!!!

I have been busy using things up and I am going to show you what I used up. I will also be letting you know if I love it or hate it and if I will be repurchasing it or not.

  • Pssssst Dry Shampoo- This was a nice dry shampoo. It did the job that a dry shampoo is supposed to do, but I hate the smell of it and so I won't repurchase.
  • Clinique Makeup Brush Cleanser- I love this to spot clean my brushes everyday before I deep clean them at the end of the week. It spot cleans them very well and I have already repurchased and will continue to do so. This product will be in my empties all the time.
  • The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil- This was a great cleansing oil it removes most of your makeup. This doesn't leave as much of an oily residue like the Garnier cleansing oil. I will not be repurchasing this just because I have found my new holy grail makeup remover. I will be talking about it soon.
  • Avene Thermal Spring Water- At first when I tried this out I did love it and I was planning on repurchasing, but I ended up not really loving it anymore. I ended up only using it for foiling my eyeshadows or to apply my pigments.
  • Clinique Take Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes, and Lips- This is an AMAZING eye makeup remover. With one cotton round it removes 95% of your eye makeup and eyebrows. I will repurchase this eventually in the future!
  • Mary Kay Translucent Powder- I had received this product from Influenster and I did enjoy it while I was using it. It set my makeup nicely. I just didn't like it under my eyes my concealer would still crease. I would not repurchase because I have a holy grail powder that I will be buying.
  • Korres Wild Rose & Vitamin C Advance Brightening Sleeping Facial- I really enjoyed this night time moisturizer. My face would feel greatly moisturized in the mornings and my face would feel smooth. I will be repurchasing this in the near future I am using another moisturizer at the moment.
  • Jane Cosmetics Concealer- This concealer was a nice one. It had decent coverage, but the issue I had with it was that it creases. When I used the Laura Mercier powder it didn't crease anymore. I will not be repurchasing I am using a different concealer right now.
  • Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant- I received this in a Ipsy bag. This was actually a harsh exfoliator and it would hurt my skin. I liked the smell of it though, but will not be purchasing.
  • TOCCA Crema De Mano-Bianca- I received this in my Birchbox and I HATED it. It didn't moisturize my hand and I was happy when I used it up.
  • Hello Perfume- I received this in another Birchbox and I did enjoy the scent. I wouldn't purchase because I have enough perfumes in my collection.
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion- This was a great eye primer and it lasts me a very long time so to me it is worth every penny. I wouldn't repurchase just because I like to try different ones each time.
  • Winter Candy Apple Body Lotion- I really love love this scent. I wanted to stock up before the holidays were over, but I didn't get the chance! I am mad about that. I still have the candle of this scent and I don't want to use it up.
Those are my empties. What products have you guys used up lately??

Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder

Hey guys!!!

Finally I am getting around reviewing this powder. I received the Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder in my November Ipsy Bag and ever since I have been hooked on it! I know I did a mini review on that post, BUT it is so amazing that it needed its own post haha.

Since it was in a small container I only used it to set my under eyes and there was absolutely NO CREASING! I used it on my face once it leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and my concealer lasts all day with this product! I have used a couple of other powders and they always tend to look cakey or powdery when I first apply it especially under the eyes, but this doesn't do that.

Whenever I do have dry patches other powders cling to them, but I was surprised that this one doesn't. I have already used this up and I am back to using the powder I was using before.....I miss this powder already! I will be repurchasing this product as soon as I can. My skin changed in the last couple of months now its combination. I get an oily t-zone now and this powder helps keep the oils in control.

Overall as you can probably tell this is my new holy grail product. The only complaint I have is that it is $37! Why??!! I am still going to buy it anyways because of how good it is.

Have you guys tried out this product?? What are some of you guys favorite Laura Mercier products??
