October 2014 Favorites

Hey guys!!! It is time for my October favorites!! I can't believe that Thanksgiving, my birthday, Christmas, and New Years is right around the corner! I don't have too many favorites this month just because I didn't try out too many new products this month.  Alterna Haircare Caviar CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction - I received this in my September Ipsy bag and I haven't stopped using it since I got it. It leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth. Also it smells so good and it lingers in my hair. Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation - I recently traveled to New York and I love using this foundation because it lasts all day. I don't ever have to worry that I will come home to half of my makeup faded.  Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo - I received this in my August Ipsy bag and I started using it again this month and I honestly love it. I apply this before my foundation on places I apply my highlighter to make it a little more intense.  M...

Stila Countless Color Pigments

Hey guys!!! My friend Samantha did a swap with me back in June and she gave me a Stila Countless Color Pigments in Indie. At first when I saw this I was like what is this? I never heard or seen this anywhere. She told me that it is a blush so that is how I started using it. I had never tried anything from Stila Cosmetics so I definitely was excited to receive this. I swirl my brush to use all the colors and the first time I used it I applied way too much! I didn't expect it to be as pigmented as it was to be honest haha. I had clown cheeks, but of course I use my powder brush to blend it out and it was easy to blend out. (Left: heavy swatch Right: one swipe) As you can see it is a pinkish purplish color and I had never tried a blush this color before, but I am glad I did because it opened my mind up to try different color blushes. This product is really shimmery so you don't really need a highlighter on your cheekbones, but I love wearing highlighter ...

ELF Studio Small Tapered Brush

Hey guys!! I know I barely showed this in my New York Haul, but I HAVE to tell you all about this brush now. I am sure most of you have heard of the Sigma F35 Tapered Higlighter Brush . I have been wanting that brush so bad, but I can't get myself to pay $24 for a brush. I was looking on the ELF website and I saw they had a new brush that is just like the Sigma one just a lot cheaper.  ELF Studio Small Tapered Brush I wasn't sure what I was going to think when I was about to first use it. I was applying my highlighter with my finger before getting this brush and O...M....G.....WHAT A DIFFERENCE?! This brush applies the highlighter so flawlessly. It blends out the highlighter on your cheekbones like a dream. This brush is also great quality. It feels sooo soft and when I first cleaned this brush there was absolutely no shedding. This brush is now my HOLY GRAIL brush and I can't live without it. I am glad I did not spend $24 on the Sigma one. If you love appl...

L'OREAL Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara

Hey guys!!! I wanted to try out another mascara and I decided to try out the L'OREAL Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara . I had heard a lot of good reviews on this mascara and I also heard that this is a dupe to Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara. I bought it in the color Blackest Black in the Waterproof formula. I love the wand to be honest. It coats all of my lashes without any difficulty especially the hard to reach lashes in the inner corner. This is one of the most unique wand I have ever seen. Here is why:  This one bends and a lot of people don't like that, but me personally it didn't bother me at all. When I first applied this mascara I was IMPRESSED! It gave me great volume, length, and my lashes seemed to stay curled on the first time. After almost two months of using it I have my full opinion. I still love this mascara for the most part, BUT I noticed that the curl doesn't stay up right after I apply the mascara. I have to let it dry and I...

October 2014 Empties

Hey guys!!! Time for another empties post! I have used up quite a few products recently and I will be showing you what I used up. I will also be reviewing if I will repurchase them or not and why. TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray - This was an awesome heat protectant spray. It was less than $3 and it leaves my hair feeling soft after I straighten it. I won't repurchase this one just because I love the L'Oreal one better. Batiste Dry Shampoo - I LOVE this product it is my holy grail and I was sad when I ran out. This gives me a little volume and really sucks up all the oils from my hair on my 3rd day hair. I will def repurchase this. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream -  HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT! I wash my hands like 10,000 times a day and my hands get really dry so I like to use this every night so my hands can soak up the moisture overnight! I was sad when I ran out especially since I won't be repurchasing right away. I have other ...

ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit

Hey guys!!! I have been obsessed with doing my brows. I never thought it was necessary to be honest and once Ipsy sent me an eyebrow pencil I started doing my brows. I can never stop doing them again. If I have full face of makeup I NEED brows done.  In July when I went to New York I went to the ELF Store and I have been wanting to try the ELF Eyebrow Kit ever since I saw Shaaanxo use it on her eyebrows. It was only $3 so I thought why not get it now and try it out? I got it in the shade Dark. I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about this since I have never used powder products on my brows before. I use my  Real Techniques Brow Brush  to apply this. It comes with a wax(the darkest color) and a powder(lighter color). I start with the wax and apply it all over. After that I use the powder to fill in whatever the wax didn't. When I first used this I was surprised with how pigmented this was.  (Left: wax Right: powder) I apologize for the con...

ELF Essential Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara

Hey guys!!! Here is a real quick review on a brow mascara. I have been really into doing my eyebrows lately so I am in search of a good brow gel. I was using the ULTA brow gel, but once I ran out I decided to try out ELF Essential Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Mascara especially since it was just $1. I had meant to take a picture when it was brand new, but I traveled right after I got it and didn't have time. This is an amazing brow mascara if you don't have crazy brow hairs. It helps the brow product that I use last longer, but doesn't really help with keeping my crazy brow hairs in place. Another thing is that it really doesn't last long. I haven't had the product 3 weeks yet and I am close to finishing the brow gel side, but then again this was just $1. The Ulta brow gel gave me the exact same results just so you know. I am using the ELF Brow Kit and that review will be next. What are some of you guys favorite brow gel products?? I am in search of my ...
