My Skin Care Routine

Hey guys!!!
For a very long time I didn't care about my skin care whatsoever. The biggest reason why was because I was too lazy to do it! Last year I started watching beauty gurus on YouTube and not only were they talking about make up, but also about how important taking care of your skin is. That's when i decided to take care of my skin. I really wasn't liking the way mine was feeling at the time.

Sooooo.....in October I went to Target to purchase a couple of products to try out:

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser ($4)

In the morning right after I wake up I get one pump of product and massage it all over my face till it foams up.  Then rinse it off and dry my face with a towel. My face feels very refreshed, clean, and awake. It also wakes me up a little bit especially since I am so not a morning person.

St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub ($6)

I only use this every couple of days while I'm taking a shower because I have Normal to Dry Skin and if I use it everyday I will get dry patches on my skin. I get a little bit of it and I massage it into my skin for 2 minutes then I rinse it off. My face feels clean and if I have a breakout it will help dry it out.

Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Toner ($4)

Every night before bed I get a cotton round and put some product on it and I wipe it all over my face very gently. It helps to remove any dirt I have on my face or even any make up that didn't come off in the shower.

Queen Helene The Original Mint Julep Masque ($4)

I only use this face mask once or twice a week. I apply the product all over my face and leave it on for 15 minutes then I rinse it off and dry my face with a towel. When you first apply the mask it smells minty and it burns a little bit. After a couple minutes you will feel it getting tight on your face. It helps with drying up any pimples and shrink enlarged pores.

Tips:

  • Anytime you dry your face with your towel make sure you pat your face dry. Especially around your eye area since it's a really sensitive area.
  • You should wash your face with your soap before you use any skin care products. I believe that with a clean face the products work better. At least for me it did.
After a few months using these products my face has never felt better!! I'm so happy with the way my skin is feeling right now. I am definitely going to try other Clean & Clear products once I'm done with these.

Whitening Lightning Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss

Hey guys!!! Have you guys heard of  Jaclyn Hill ?? If not you have been missing out. She does the best make-up tutorials and recently she had a brush set with Sigma which I missed out on cause I couldn't afford it at the time. Then she announced she came out with her own lip gloss through Whitening Lightning and decided to go ahead and get this one even if it was a little pricey, but I saved up money for it. See how pigmented that color is?? This is the color Rose Hill and the website says it is a romantic and feminine hue. It is a beautiful rosy red color and I love it!! This gloss is amazing because first it has a mirror on the side. Just remember to remove the sticker that is on top of the mirror, but I haven't done that yet that's why it looks dirty on the picture. Secondly, when you open this gloss it lights up. So if you need to reapply when you are out and you don't have a mirror and/or you are in a dark place you are covered. Last but n

Battle of the Eye Primers

Hey guys!! I have oily eyelids and I struggled when I was younger with my eyeshadows and eyeliner creasing. At the time I never understood why. I went into sephora a couple years ago with my best friend and asked "how can I stop that from happening?" That's when I was introduced to eye primers. My first ever eye primer was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I have been testing out 6 different eyelid primers and out of the six only two did not work for me. I decided to do this blog for the people that have that same issue as me and to show you guys what options there are out there in the make up world from drugstore to high end.   I tried the ELF Eyelid Primer, Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer, Mary Kay eye primer, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Isurance, and BareMinerals Prime Time Primer. I'm going to start off with the one that was the worst one out of all of these. It was the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer. $4.99

Pssssst! Instant Dry Shampoo

Hey guys!!! I love love love the Batiste Dry Shampoo , but before I traveled back in October I had ran out and I didn't have time to buy more. I went into a drugstore and the only thing I found was a Pssssst! Instant Dry Shampoo so I decided to go ahead and try it out.  I honestly do not like this dry shampoo, but I don't hate it. This dry shampoo will get the job done. It sucks up all the oils in your hair and it will stay like that till the next day. I hate the smell of it. To me it turns me off to a product if it doesn't smell good. Also a couple days ago I sprayed some in and someone told me that one side of my hair is white. This is definitely a product that you need to brush it out after a few minutes of applying it to your hair. The white cast that it leaves behind also turn me off to this product. Overall this is an okay dry shampoo. I will be going back to Batiste as soon as this is done haha. Have you guys tried this product?? What do you think??
