August 2014 Empties

Hey guys!!!

I have collected quite a bit of trash so now I am going to show you what I have used up, what I think of it, and would I repurchase it.

  • Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes- I love these wipes to remove any swatches from my hands or arms. I will definitely repurchase these as soon as I can get to a store which I hope is soon.
  • Rimmel London SCANDAL EYES Liquid Eyeliners- I used up two liquid eyeliners. One is the Precision Micro Eyeliner and the other is the Thick & Thin Eyeliner. I really enjoyed these liners so much especially since they were waterprooof. Maybe I will repurchase them in the future, but right now I have been into gel liner so I don't know. I do highly recommend them though.
  • Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner- At first I thought this was okay, but one day it smudged really bad on me that I couldn't even finish this up. I know a lot of people rave about it, but it didn't work out for me. I am still in search of my holy grail liner.
  • Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara- I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara. It is my holy grail, but I want to try other mascaras and I will eventually repurchase this again. It was a sad day when this started clumping really bad on me.
  • Rimmel London SCANDAL EYES Retro Glam Mascara- I had a love hate relationship with this mascara. During the summer I would practice everyday my eye makeup and I would apply this mascara to use it up. I never went anywhere anyways so I used it till it started clumping. I would not repurchase this one.
  • Mary Kay Eye Primer- This was my holy grail eye primer for a long time and it still is. I will eventually repurchase this one day, but for now I have to use up the eye primers I have first.
  • Benefit the POREfessional- I received this sample from Sephora and I really like the primer. My foundation would look flawless after I applied it. I don't know if I will purchase this yet just cause I am on the hunt for my holy grail primer and I don't know if this is it.
  • Pixi Beauty Bronzer- I received this in my first Ipsy bag and I really enjoyed it, but it is not holy grail status. I found my high end holy grail bronzer now I need to find one at the drugstore. Any suggestions?
  • Smith's Rosebud Salve- It was an enjoyable lip balm, but not holy grail. I will possibly repurchase this, but in the tube version. I kinda hated dipping my finger in the pot. To me its unsanitary. Is there a difference between the pot version and the tube one??
  • Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Soap- The scent is Tis the Season. I got it during the semi annual sale last year and I barely finished it. I mostly use the other soap that is in my bathroom since I share with my bro he wouldn't want these soaps to be the only one in the bathroom haha. I will def repurchase more in different scents. I have one in my bathroom as we speak.
  • Garnier Clean Nourishing Cleansing Oil- I love this product to remove my makeup and I will definitely repurchase in the future. I want to try out other cleansing oils. Any suggestions?
  • Boscia Clear Complexion Treatment- I bought the Clear Complexion Kit and I finished up the Clear Complexion Treatment first out of everything. My skin was loving it so much that I already bought the full size of it. I also love the cleanser and the toner, but the moisturizer I am not too much of a fan. Do you guys know of any good moisturizer for normal to dry skin??
  • The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter- I got the travel size whenever they were having a sale and I love their body butters. I really loved the smell of this one! I will be repurchasing another one soon.
What are some of you guys holy grail products???

Rose and Ben Beauty Brushes

Hey guys!! I haven't done a beauty post in a while and I was in the mood to do one because I am very excited to talk about these! I started follow Rose on IG roseandben  thanks to my friend and I have been loving her content. You can see the passion she has for makeup. I love that she posts on IG stories almost everyday doing a tutorial or talking about her fav products.  I have actually purchased and few of her recommendations and 99% of the products I have bought have become staples in my collection.  When she announced she was coming out with a brand  Rose and Ben Beauty  I just knew it would be brushes because she would always be using prototypes in her tutorials. I trusted her judgment in products soooo I bought most of the collection.  Aren't these brushes beautiful?? When I first got the brushes I felt the bristles and they were so soft. The quality of the bristles and even the handles feels so luxurious. I love the color of the handles too. I only started following her

What Are AHA's??

Hey guys!!! AHA's(Alpha Hydroxy Acids) is water-soluble, exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, reveals healthy looking skin, and it is suitable for all skin types. It helps stimulate collagen, hydrates the skin, brightens the skin, helps lessen skin texture, helps with acne scars, signs of sun damage, and dark spots. There are different types of AHA's out there.  Glycolic Acid Glycolic acid is the most well known and is used in skin care and is also used by a professional in a chemical peel.  It is either used alone in a skincare product or combined with another AHA ingredients at concentrations of 5% and up. It helps to enhance skin's firmness and resilience while softening signs of sun damage.  The size of this acid allows it to penetrate the uppermost layers of the skin to reveal better looking skin. Also it hydrates the skin, and basically helps the skin retain the natural moisture. Glycolic acid can be derived from sugar cane, but they only use the

What are BHA's??

Hey guys!!! The other day I spoke about AHA's and the different types of AHA's and now it is BHA's.  BHA's(Beta Hydroxy Acids) can get deeper into the pores to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum. It is oil-soluble so it allows it to penetrate deep into the pores and gently breaks up blockages that clogs your pores. That will help with lessening your acne and less visible pores. If you have blackheads, on your nose especially, it can help getting rid of them without damaging your skin like the Biore pore strips do. Also prevents new ones from forming. It could also help with Keratosis Pilaris(KP) in body washes or even body lotions/butters. BHA's are good for all skin types, but especially oily, acne prone skin. Salicylic Acid Salicylic Acid is the most well known out of all of them. It helps reduce acne by exfoliating the skin and keeping the pores clear. It helps with mild acne, blackheads and whiteheads, can help prevent future breakouts.  Tropic Acid, Tret
