June 2014 Empties

Hey guys!!!

I always enjoy watching empties videos on YouTube for some reason so I decided to do it today. I have used up quite a few products and before I add more to the bag here are the products:

Now will I repurchase any of these things or no?? Hmm...

  • Rimmel London Gentle Eye Make Up Remover- It says this removes waterproof mascara and I am here to say it does NOT remove waterproof mascara. I used to this to remove all of my make up with a cotton round, but now I use something else even better than this. Once I discovered cleansing oils I am never going back. I finished this up by using it to remove swatches. I would NOT repurchase this ever again.
  • Julep Nail Polish in Evelyn- I had only used this polish once and I wanted to use it for this week so when I grabbed it half of the polish was gone and it is so thick and nasty that the brush broke off as I was opening the polish. What the heck? I don't know what happened. All of my other Julep polishes are good. Anyone have any idea what happened?
  • Yes to Bluberries Cleansing Facial Towelettes- I tried out the Yes to Cucumber wipes before and I was using those to remove my make up and I liked them, but now that I am using a cleansing oil I just use this to remove swatches. I have already repurchased this for swatches.
  • Clean & Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Toner- I really did enjoy this when I first got it, (I reviewed it here along with other skin care items mentioned in this blog), but then I decided I wanted to get one without alcohol because this smelled really strong. I am using a new one and I will be talking about that soon. Sooo with that being said I will NOT be repurchasing this.
  • Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque- This is my holy grail drugstore mask and it really does help when I have a breakout. I already repurchased this and it is less than $4.
  • St. Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub- This is another holy grail drugstore skin care product. I only used it twice a week. When I went to look for this product to repurchase it they didn't have this exact one. They changed it to a Apricot Scrub, but I enjoy using that one too. The only difference is the beads in this one are a little bigger than the Green Tea one. I love it.
  • BH Cosmetics BH Liquid Eyeliner- This eyeliner dried up so fast that I will NOT repurchase this. I did a full review here.
  • Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Healing & Repair Extra Strength Cream- During the winter time I had really dry skin. I even had bald patches on my face so my mom gave me this and I would use this at night. This was a really thick cream and I will def repurchase this in the future.
  • Covergirl Blush in Iced Plum- This blush lasted me a long time and I used to use it allll the time. I think I got it about 2 years ago. I don't think I will repurchase this again just because I want to try out other brands. I do recommend this blush though. It is blendable and a gorgeous color.
  • First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser- I really did enjoy this cleanser, but it didn't do much for my blemish proned skin. I recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin. I would not repurchase this because I am trying out a new skin care brand.
Have you guys used up anything this month?? Would you repurchase any of those items??

Rose and Ben Beauty Brushes

Hey guys!! I haven't done a beauty post in a while and I was in the mood to do one because I am very excited to talk about these! I started follow Rose on IG roseandben  thanks to my friend and I have been loving her content. You can see the passion she has for makeup. I love that she posts on IG stories almost everyday doing a tutorial or talking about her fav products.  I have actually purchased and few of her recommendations and 99% of the products I have bought have become staples in my collection.  When she announced she was coming out with a brand  Rose and Ben Beauty  I just knew it would be brushes because she would always be using prototypes in her tutorials. I trusted her judgment in products soooo I bought most of the collection.  Aren't these brushes beautiful?? When I first got the brushes I felt the bristles and they were so soft. The quality of the bristles and even the handles feels so luxurious. I love the color of the handles too. I ...

Battle of the Eye Primers

Hey guys!! I have oily eyelids and I struggled when I was younger with my eyeshadows and eyeliner creasing. At the time I never understood why. I went into sephora a couple years ago with my best friend and asked "how can I stop that from happening?" That's when I was introduced to eye primers. My first ever eye primer was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I have been testing out 6 different eyelid primers and out of the six only two did not work for me. I decided to do this blog for the people that have that same issue as me and to show you guys what options there are out there in the make up world from drugstore to high end.   I tried the ELF Eyelid Primer, Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer, Mary Kay eye primer, Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Isurance, and BareMinerals Prime Time Primer. I'm going to start off with the one that was the worst one out of all of these. It was the Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer. $4.99 ...

Aveeno ultra calming makeup removing wipes

Hey guys!!! I received the Aveeno makeup remover wipes as a gift! Finally I was able to stop using the horrible wipes that I was using before!! These wipes are amazing! They smell so good and everytime I take one out I have to smell it before I use it on my face. They are very moist and they remove most of my face and eye makeup. I always go with a cotton round with another makeup remover no matter which wipes I use just to make sure everything is off. I don't know if they remove waterproof mascara since I am not using one at the moment. Most IMPORTANTLY it did NOT break me out!  I looked online on walmart to see how much it was and it is around $7. I probably will purchase this myself later on down the line.
