November 2015 Favorites

Hey guys!!!

I can't believe it is already December!! I know everyone is saying it, but it is true. A whole year has gone by and it is time for Christmas and New Years soon. *mind blown*  November was a great and sucky month at the same time. I was sick for a good portion of it and something amazing and life changing happened . How was the month of November for you?

  • Too Faced Born This Way Foundation- This has been my go to foundation recently. There has been days that my skin has been dry and this product doesn't cling to my dry patches. It looks natural and doesn't break up when I get oily.
  • Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder- I was actually using the Invisible Loose Setting Powder and it was amazing. I had heard so many people talk about this powder and I am now obsessed. It sets my under eye better than the Invisible Powder. I didn't think it was possible for it to be better.
  • NYX Intense Butter Gloss- I honestly don't use these on everyday basis just because it is high maintenance, but when I am out and about with my mom I get these out. I wear these when I don't have a full face of makeup so I don't have to worry about ruining my makeup. I have been loving the shade Toasted Marshmallow. I even took out the stopper so I can get more product out.
  • Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow- I am not sure if I have mentioned this shadow in a favorites before, but I have been loving using the shade Bella Ivory. I use the Colourpop shadow in Glow under the brow bone then I top it off with Bella Ivory whenever I am in the mood for a shimmery brow bone. I love the combo.
  • Makeup Geek Pigment- I have been loving the Utopia pigment. This pigment is the best one out of all Makeup Geek's Pigments. You can darken it up with a black base or tone it down with a brown base. It is a mixture of deep brown and antique gold shimmer duochrome glitter.
  • Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow- This month for Epilepsy Awareness Month I have been wearing lots of purple. When I saw SuperAshley127 tutorial with the Caitlin Rose foiled eyeshadow I had to use it. The way she used it was with a black base and when I tried it I fell in love with it! That is the best way to use Caitlin Rose. It pops big time that way.
  •  Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue- I have been using pigments and loose shadows quite a few times this month and this is the best primer to use. I have less fallout with this product! Only thing you have to do one eye at a time.
  • Maybelline FIT Me Concealer- I had repurchased this because I loved it when I first tried it. I used it again and fell in love all over again. It covers my dark circles, subtly highlights my face, and doesn't crease if I set it right away.
  • BH Cosmetics Itsjudtime Eyeshadow Palette- During the time that I was sick I was not in the mood to be creative with my eye makeup so this was my go to palette during those days. This is my holy grail palette for easy everyday looks or even smokey eyes with a pop of color. I have hit pan on quite a few colors.
  • Kat Von D Mi Vida Loca Remix Palette- After I felt better I loved experimenting and creating looks with this palette. I could create a neutral to a really bold colorful look. My second holy grail palette. I have noticed my holy grail palettes are limited edition.
Those are my November Favorites! I honestly had more favorites, but I didn't want to make this post too long. The last two hair products I spoke about in the last two posts are also part of my favorites this month, but they're empty and now in the trash so I couldn't show you guys.

What have you guys been loving this month?? Do we have similar favorites?? You guys discovered any holy grail products this month??

Rose and Ben Beauty Brushes

Hey guys!! I haven't done a beauty post in a while and I was in the mood to do one because I am very excited to talk about these! I started follow Rose on IG roseandben  thanks to my friend and I have been loving her content. You can see the passion she has for makeup. I love that she posts on IG stories almost everyday doing a tutorial or talking about her fav products.  I have actually purchased and few of her recommendations and 99% of the products I have bought have become staples in my collection.  When she announced she was coming out with a brand  Rose and Ben Beauty  I just knew it would be brushes because she would always be using prototypes in her tutorials. I trusted her judgment in products soooo I bought most of the collection.  Aren't these brushes beautiful?? When I first got the brushes I felt the bristles and they were so soft. The quality of the bristles and even the handles feels so luxurious. I love the color of the handles too. I only started following her

What Are AHA's??

Hey guys!!! AHA's(Alpha Hydroxy Acids) is water-soluble, exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, reveals healthy looking skin, and it is suitable for all skin types. It helps stimulate collagen, hydrates the skin, brightens the skin, helps lessen skin texture, helps with acne scars, signs of sun damage, and dark spots. There are different types of AHA's out there.  Glycolic Acid Glycolic acid is the most well known and is used in skin care and is also used by a professional in a chemical peel.  It is either used alone in a skincare product or combined with another AHA ingredients at concentrations of 5% and up. It helps to enhance skin's firmness and resilience while softening signs of sun damage.  The size of this acid allows it to penetrate the uppermost layers of the skin to reveal better looking skin. Also it hydrates the skin, and basically helps the skin retain the natural moisture. Glycolic acid can be derived from sugar cane, but they only use the

What are BHA's??

Hey guys!!! The other day I spoke about AHA's and the different types of AHA's and now it is BHA's.  BHA's(Beta Hydroxy Acids) can get deeper into the pores to remove dead skin cells and excess sebum. It is oil-soluble so it allows it to penetrate deep into the pores and gently breaks up blockages that clogs your pores. That will help with lessening your acne and less visible pores. If you have blackheads, on your nose especially, it can help getting rid of them without damaging your skin like the Biore pore strips do. Also prevents new ones from forming. It could also help with Keratosis Pilaris(KP) in body washes or even body lotions/butters. BHA's are good for all skin types, but especially oily, acne prone skin. Salicylic Acid Salicylic Acid is the most well known out of all of them. It helps reduce acne by exfoliating the skin and keeping the pores clear. It helps with mild acne, blackheads and whiteheads, can help prevent future breakouts.  Tropic Acid, Tret
